CHURCH MEMBERSHIP : Any person may offer himself a candidate for membership in this church by:

BAPTISM -This means you are a new convert who has never been baptized by immersion.

A person who confess that Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and adopts substantially the views of faith and principles of this Church and is baptized by immersion may be received into the fellowship of the Church.


CHRISTIAN EXPERIENCE -This means you are already a Christian but are not involved with a local church and wish to return to full involvement in your Christian faith.

A believer of worth character who has formerly been a member of a Christian church, but who for a sufficient reason cannot present a letter from that church, but who is in substantial accord with the views of faith and principles of this Church may be received upon statement of experience.


LETTER -This means you are already a Christian with active membership in another church and wish to unite with Pleasant Grove Baptist church by way of a letter.

A person who is in substantial accord with the views of faith and the principles of this Church may be received by letter from any other Christian Church.


REINSTATEMENT -This means you are a Christian and a former member of Pleasant Grove who has been inactive and now wish to renew your fellowship.

A person who has lost membership may be restored to membership upon recommendation of the Pastor and Official Ministry and the vote of the Church.


REDEDICATION -This means you are a Christian and wish to rededicate your life to Christ and the work of His Church.

WATCH CARE -This means you are already a Christian with active membership in another church who is sojourning in this area and wish to unite with Pleasant Grove Baptist Church temporarily.

A person who is a member of another Christian church but sojourning in this community for a brief period of time may be received into the membership of the Church for a three-to-six month period. Students may unite under watchcare while they are enrolled in a local institution of learning.
